Happiness is hard to define or measure, but most people know it when you feel: wave of joy, quiet satisfaction uspokoyavashto satisfaction. Science, however, is confused: Why do some people always seem happy, while others are permanently unili? Does normal levels of happiness?
Happiness is engaged civilizations thousands of years. The ancient Greek philosophers are defined and reflect on his sources. But as we get umuvalo on happiness, the more questions occurred.
To date, modern social sciences are zahvanali the issue, trying to define happiness, where can be found and how it can be achieved.
Researchers have made some exciting and unexpected discoveries. For example: happiness is not relative! Joy in life does not appear to depend on social status. In fact, the opposite is true. For example, if compared with others, your social status is higher, you'll be less happy than people who have other criteria for happiness.
Also: happiness is not permanent! It is variable. However, many people from many cultures seem to enjoy life and find happiness.
Unfortunately is the exception, not rule, even among the tensions, dynamics and stress of modern society. Indeed, progress is fueling happiness, contrary to allegations that incomplete (unhappy) life is a plague modern societies.
Society of western type shows very little difference in social categories to measure happiness, as well as those of gender. But with aging, the differences seem even more reduced, not increased.
The idea of searching fortune, the goal of life is actually west creation. But as with most "Western" ideas and that managed to turn our heads to such an extent that hardly does not become a "national movement" to happiness.
However, expectations about what can make us happy, increased by so fast pace that is becoming rather an obstacle to achieving in his rather than help.
It is difficult to accept that the elite schools, prestigious residential areas, holiday, marks the last car not filled our emotional and social needs.
Still, many scientists argue that only 10% -15% of happiness may be linked to measurable variables such as socio-economic status, civil status, health and income. In other words, it appears that happiness is not in proportion with the things you normally associate with buckets emotions.
What makes us happy in the end?
Here comes the answer to the big question:
Aging
The most powerful is the relationship between happiness and age. People become more happy years, confirming the theory that aging is associated with the development of positive psychological characteristics that contribute to a sense of satisfaction. Unlike young people with big expectations for social and financial success, older people often are happy with what they have.
Parenthood
Parents are usually more happy than people who have no children. Despite midnight meals, changing the Dippers and visits to the emergency, most parents would not replace that experience … In fact – nothing else.
The presence of targets
One of the key findings is that an objective is preduslovie happen. Of course, one of those purposes may parenthood, but there are still many tasks that come into this category, including but not limited to business. It is interesting American study regarding the activities of policy, that supporters of right ideas are more than happy "left".
Besides what makes us happy, in terms of happiness has another big question: How much happiness is enough? The question: "Can I have too much happiness?" Some scientists respond: "That depends.
Like most good things can not oppress or to teach happiness. It is natural, but variable condition. Happiness also is often confused with other conditions such as temporary emotional or physical satisfaction. These things can create momentary joy, but rarely cause long happiness.
Selfishness also infrequent is a formula for happiness
In fact, it rather is a recipe for continued disappointment and misfortune. Tagata then, in turn, is a natural part of life and often is a response to what is happening in it.
Provided that lasts too long or it is not destructive, tagata actually can open the path to happiness. Maybe most of all, the key to happiness lies in our sense of purpose beyond ourselves, including the smooth adoption of life our lot. Yellow.bg
